Setting the Stage Shakespeare in the Classroom |
For 30 years, Seattle second graders taught by Harvey Sadis have thrilled audiences as they performed Shakespeare’s best known plays. Most had never before seen live theatre, many are children of immigrants and English is not their first language. Their success demonstrates, as Sadis puts it, that all children are gifted, and the teacher’s job is to help each child find and develop their own unique gifts. |
